Powell Furniture recently developed six new furniture packages following its aim to help retailers sell more. The Color Story, Masterpiece, Door Busters, Recliner and Table Specials, Cedar Chests, and Jewelry Armoires and Vanities themes will be introduced at this week's Las Vegas Market at the World Market Center.
According to Tom Liddell, Powell's Senior Vice President for national sales, the said packages have been proven to meet the criteria for popularity, high retail impact, and potential impulse buying.
"We've done our homework to determine the best products, pricing, and merchandising formats that work in stores. It's really a template for a successful sell-through." Liddell said that the retailer just needs to pick out which of the packages they are interested in selling.
As a support for the retailers, Powell Company has included ready-made advertising slicks, extended billing terms, 3D floor layouts, presentation ideas, and a lot of sales support materials in the packages, including step-by step instructions on how to merchandise them.
Liddell said that their aim is to direct the customers' attention while in actual furniture stores.
"You want to give customers a compelling reason to spend time with individual items because research shows that the longer they are engaged, the more they are likely to buy."
