Stanton International is Closing Their Warehouse Facility in Phoenix, AZ

Just a bit of news: Stanton International, maker of some of our more popular sofa and sectional sets, is closing their warehouse facility in Phoenix, AZ and consolidating the operation with its Stockton, CA facility. The changeover will be complete around Fall, 2006.

This change, however, will not alter their product availability in any way. In an interview on the closure of the plant, our rep at Stanton assured me that "the closure will not affect availability of product" and that "ship times will also not be affected." The order process and product lines will also not change in any way. Wholesale Furniture Brokers and affiliates can still order and ship Stanton International products with no interruption brought on by this change. Their method of operation seems simple enough: "When we receive orders, we will decide which plant is more cost effective and build the goods accordingly." The change will be back-to-basics as Stanton "used to service (other) areas from our Stockton plant prior to opening the Arizona one."

That response didn't make any sense.
